Chapter two: The Black Cross Alchemist and the Saber

" Wow! That was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. He needed a good scare anyway. He was getting way to cocky for his own good!" A female voice said from the…. Newly fixed doorway?

In the doorway stood a girl with medium length wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She wore glasses, a black jacket, black vest and gray shirt under the vest; black pants with a white stripe on the sides and black army boots. She wore white gloves with black crosses on the back. Also, the white stripe on the front of her jacket, when it was closed formed a cross.

" Yeah… and you are?" Edward asked.

" Names Kurosu, or the Black Cross Alchemist.." The girl said, pushing her glasses up farther, making them catch the light in the lenses and shine white.

" Kurosu huh? The Japanese word meaning ‘cross’." Edward said.

" You’re a clever one huh? Hey Tom, hurry up with that luggage!" she called down the hall.

" Okay okay! You know it wouldn’t kill you to carry some of this!" a male voice said from down the hall, yelling the last part.

" Shut up and just get over here already! You know you’d walk a lot faster if you just dropped that stupid sword." Kurosu said, her hand on her hips.

A boy, who looked considerably angry, appeared next to Kurosu in the doorway. His hair was black and his eyes where brown. He wore a blue t-shirt with a white cross that went through the middle of it, black pants, socks and sneakers. He wore a golden cross pendant necklace around his neck. He held three suite cases (two of which Edward guessed were the girls), and two stacks of books on top of the suit cases.

He managed the whack Kurosu over the head, which sent her glasses flying off.

" Ow! You idiot that hurt!" she yelled angerly once she recovered her glasses.

" I know." Was his simple relpy as he smirked

Then he noticed the five very confused looking people sitting in the compartment.

" Oh hey there! Sorry about my ideotic friend, her brain cells are few and far apart. Names Tom Saber, a preacher of sorts." He said, smirking while Kurosu muttered angerly under her breath.

" Edward and Alphonse Elric." Edward said, smiling and Alphonse waved.

" Hermione Granger."

"Ron Weasley."

"Harry Potter." Said harry, expecting some type of reaction but none came.

"Nice tah meet yah. You guys mind if we sit here?" Kurosu asked, smiling at the group while glaring at Tom for hitting her.

" Sure, just put your stuff up there." Edward said, pointing to the overhead shelves that where in each compartment.

So Tom managed to stuff all the luggage up into the shelves but had to sit on the floor since Kurosu took the only avalible seat left next to Edward and Alphonse.

" So, why are you guys here?" Edward asked.

" Oh, us? Well lets just say that I was forced to come, and I forced him to come cause no way I was coming alone." Kurosu said, pointing to Tom who looked up from a book he had been reading.

" Yeah and then she made me carry the luggage." Tom said and Kurosu smirked.

But suddenly her smirk dropped and her eyes widened considerably. Then all the lights in the train went out and it got dead quite on the train. Not a sound could be heard in the entire train.

" Brother, whats going on?" Alphonse asked in a worried voice.

Kurosu’s eyes narrowed and she stood up, as did Tom.

" We can’t do much here, not without exposing ourselves." Tom whispered, saying it so low that only Kurosu could hear him.

" I know that!" she whispered harshly, frustrated with the entire situation. She then closed her eyes and grimaced. " But we can’t just sit here and do nothing. I’ll never let that happen to anyone again."

Kurosu gave Tom a serious, no nonsence look and he seemed to be thinking hard, not liking the idea at all.

He finally sighed before saying " Alright. But we can’t let them see us!"

So they ran out of the train compsrtment, Kurosu alchemizing the door closed so that the others couldn’t get hurt.

" Now they won’t see us at all!" Kurosu said smirking and Tom sweatdropped.

" Now then, lets give the guys a little ‘welcoming party’." Kurosu said and ran twoards the head of the train, going from car to car as Tom followed on her heels.

(Train compartment)

Ron, Hermione and Harry where freaking out while Edward and Alphonse… well they where there before but had dissapeared just after Kurosu and Tom had. They where just exeting the current car that they where in when something caught Edwards eye. He saw a white flash that seemed to jump cars but when he looked up to the next train car’s roof he saw nothing.

" Whats wrong brother?" Alphonse asked from behind him.

" … Nothing, lets keep going. We’re gonna have a hard time catching up to those two now." Edward said and continued to run after Kurosu and Tom.

" Master, we’ve located the Black Cross" a males voice said as the hooded figure that it belonged to bowed low to another dark figure that sat on a throan (sp?).

" Hmmm… very good. You know what to do." The taller cloacked figure on the throan said, lacing his fingers together. The bowing figure nodded and dissapeared into the shadows.

(Back to Train Hoping)

Kurosu and Tom had gotten into the first car of the train and where about to go through the door to get to the conductor’s room but a white cloacked figure jumped infront of them.

" Oh great, now we’ve got this guy to deal with! Well then lets make it quick!" Tom said, clapping his hands together and touching the cross on his neck. It turned into a large, golden sword.

" Yeah, there are more like him on this train, that’s for sure." Kurosu said and clapped her hands, touching her left arm, which turned into a silver sword with a black cross going down the middle of it.

The white cloaked guy smirked and quickly drew a Transmutaiuon circle and touched the edges of it. It glowed a bright light and suddenly rope like things shot out of the floor below Tom, wrapping themselves around him, enabiling him to move.

" That’s it buddy, your going down!" Kurosu yelled angerly but the guy (who we’ll be calling Bob from now on) smirked.

Bob tucked a hand under his cloack and pulled out a long, white sword.

" Oh so now you’ve got a sword? Big deal." Kurosu said charging at the guy, jumping and raising her sword in the air.

But Bob brought his sword up and Kurosu’s sword hit his, making sparks fly.

" Like your going to win this. I’ve beaten guys like you before and I can do it again." Kurosu said, pushing on Bob’s sword with her own, pushing him back.

" No likely." Bob said smirking and pushed Kurosu back a little. So they continued this for a few moments before Kurosu jumped back, clapping her hands and slamming them on the ground in mid-air. Spikes shot up from the ground and flew towards Bob just as Tom managed to break his bindings. The spikes hit Bob head on in a direct hit, sedning him crashing back into the wall behnid him.

" That all? You guys are even weaker then last time!" Kurosu said, smirking.

But her smirk dropped when Bob stood up, unhamred by the attack. Not even a bruise was on him.

" Okay so you’re persistent." Kurosu said, dropping into a defensive stance.

" We’re much more then that." Bob said, picking his sword up. Suddenly he dissapeared and reappeared behind Kurosu, slamming her in the side, sending her flying, crashing into the train car’s wall, making it buckel under the force of which she hit it.

" Damn you. I guess you are a bit stronger." Kurosu said, wiping blood from her lip and holding her side.

" It looks like I’ve broken a few of your ribs." Bob said, as if it was a simple matter.

Kurosu growled in frustration and Tom suddenly appeared behind Bob, slamming him hard in the side.

" And it looks like I’ve just broken a few of yours!" said Tom, smirking.

" Hey, I wondered how long you where gonna stay M.I.A like that." Kurosu said, leaning against her sword. Suddenly many people in robes came into the train, wands drawn.

Bob stood up, visibly wounded by Toms’ attack but suddenly dissapeared.

" We will meet again, you can be sure Black Cross." He said just before his dissapeared completely.

" Well that was fun." Kurosu said sarcasticly as Tom came over to help her stand.

" Yeah. They never stop chassing you do they?" Tom said, letting Kurosu lean agaisnt him.

" Nope, and I won’t stop chasing them either." Kurosu said, grimacing.
